Background: The Ideal Homes Exhibition - held annually in London to display the most advanced products for use in the home - welcomed an important visitors on Thursday (14 March). The Ivory Coast Ambassador to London, Mr. Louis Aduko, visited his country's first stand at the exhibition.
The Ambassador was shown round by the Exhibition organiser, Mr. Kenneth Corney, and Mr. Ibrahima Keita of the Ivorian Trade Centre. He looked at the Ivory Coast stand where fruit and agricultural produce were prominent. The Ivory Coast is the world's third largest producer of coffee and the second largest producer of cocoa.
Mr. Keita told Visnews reporter Timothy Arlott that his country is also making great efforts to expand industrial production. He added that the Ivory Coast is extremely anxious to strengthon trading ties with the United Kingdom. Britain, he said, had too little contact with French-speaking Africa.
