Mr. Ekangaki spent two days in Nigeria before leaving for the OAU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He told reporters that he and General Gowon would be discussing how to carry out the resolutions made at last month's OAU summit in Addis Ababa. He said that their discussions would concentrate on the conference of the World's Developing Countries, which opens in Lagos on July 7th.
Delegates will try to find a common African position in negotiations with the enlarged European Economic Community (EEC). Mr. Ekangaki said that much closer regional co-operation was needed in dealing with the EEC.
