    Yet another sign of the Greco-Turkish tension is the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the liberation of Jannina, capital of Epirus, from the Turkish yoke, by King Constantine, father of King Paul, in 1913.
    King Paul and Queen Frederika drove 785 kilometres from Athens to Jannina to attend the celebrations, commemorating the victory of King Constantine over the Turkish armies.
    After a Le Deum sung in the city's cathedral in memory of the fighters of Epirus, the King and Queen took the salute of the Army after a mamoth parade.
