    NEGRO AND CORE LEADERS SAID THE MARCH ON CITY HALL TOMORROW MORNING WOULD DRAMATIZE A 7-POINT CIVIL RIGHTS DEMAND THAT INCLUDED HIRING NEGRO POLICEMEN.

    POLICE TOLD THE NEGRO STUDENTS THEY COULDN'T PARADE TODAY WITHOUT PERMIT. OBSERVERS SAID THE MARCH APPEARED TO BE SPONTANEOUS.

    POLICE CHIEF R. C. KNIGHT MOBILIZED FORCES FOR THE RALLY TONIGHT.

    POLICE WERE ORDERED TO CIRCLE THE SITE, AND THE MAIN THOROUGHFARE OF COLUMBIA STREET AS BEING PATROLLED BY STATE POLICE.
