    Built in 1929, the Zugspitzcable-railway can carry 120 people per hour, lifting them in 12 minutes through 1600 metres.

    While working on this cable at a height of 180 metres the workmen use safety ropes only to get themselves on to the as frequently they must do, the workmen have not safety belts nets or ropes whatsoever. There's is a cold and dangerous job poised in the air above the mountains of Austria, but on them depends the safety and the lives of all the lighthearted skiers who use the mountain railway.
