Background: The leader of Iran's main guerrilla movement, Massoud Rajavi, says the death of his wife and his field commander in a battle with a security forces was a great blow, but has vowed to topple Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Speaking from his exile home on the outskirts of Paris, Mr. Rajavi said the Mujahedin had endured many such blows, but that the latest victory would not be celebrated for long by the Teheran government. Guerrilla leader Mussa Kheyyabani -- operational leader in Iran of the left-wing Mujahedin movement -- was considered public enemy number one by Iran's fundamentalist government, ad was killed during a raid on his hideout in Teheran on Monday (8 February). Twelve other leading members of the underground Mujahedin, including Mr. Rajavi's wife, died in the five hour battle. Mr. Rajavi also fears that his one-year-old son was killed in the action. He was with his mother in a car outside the house when the revolutionary guards attacked.
