Saturday's Ulster Grand Prix drew one of the biggest crowds yet to Dundrod. And they saw England's Mike Hailwood,
on a Honda, number 18, win both the 350 and 500 c.c. races. Hailwood is already the 250 world champion and at Dundrod he clinched the 350 world title. His win, too, in the 500 brings him closer to keeping the world championship in that class as well.
Hailwood was followed all the way in the 500 race by Agostini of Italy on an M.V. Despite the wet weather, new record speeds were set and Agostini couldn't match the riding of Hailwood at an average of 102 miles an hour.
As well as winning two events, Hailwood also set a new course record of over 105 miles an hour.
