  • Description

Since the war more than 1,000 British children have visited the children's hospital near Copenhagen for treatment: most of them, suffering from tuberculosis.

Happily, this particular disease in now declining rapidly all over the world and the last batch of British children are returning home. But before they leave, this group of 32, who have spent the last year recuperating in a Danish children's home, are given a 'day treat' in Copenhagen, with the highlight a visit to the zoo.

Healthy and happy, the children had a wonderful day - at the zoo, on a conducted trip around the city and, after lunch at the British centre, as guests at the Town Hall.
