    The United Nations Committee against apartheid has had a call from its members for the 'total elimination of colonialism and apartheid' in southern Africa. While the Committee discussed the situation at United Nations headquarters on Monday (21 March), and announced an international conference on Rhodesia and South West Africa in Mozambique this May, Committee Chairman Leslie Harriman reported to the Security Council. The two meetings came as the United Nations observed International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
