Background: Former Argentine President Juan Peron left Rome for the Rumanian capital of Bucharest on Tuesday (6 February). He was accompanied by his third wife, Isabel, and his personal secretary, Senor Daniel Lopez Rega.
Senor Person was to spend four days in Rumania--meeting Rumanian political, economic and trade union leaders.
The former President arrived in Italy last Saturday (3 February).
After he was ousted from power in Argentina by a cup in 1955, Senor Peron spent seventeen-years in exiles in Spain. He re-entered the political arena in November 1972, when he returned to Argentina. His numerous supporters hoped he would regain the Presidency, possibly with the aid of a coalition party. But he returned to Europe in December after refusing the presidential nomination.
