AN ENTHUSIASTIC CROWD JAMMED THE PALAIS DES SPORTS, FOR THE FINAL TWO HOURS OF THE SIX-DAY RACE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE START OF THE LAST SESSION, POST ATTACKED AND GRASPED A ONE LAP ADVANTAGE.

BUT IT WAS NOT UNTIL THE LAST FIFTEEN MINUTES THAT THE LEADER OF THE BELGIAN-DANISH TEAM, VAN STEENBERGEN, THREW OUT CHALLENGE AFTER CHALLENGE TO POST. HOWEVER, POST, IN A COMMANDING POSITION, WAS ABLE TO CROSS THE LINE A CLEAR WINNER AFTER THE FINAL SPRINT.
