Background: A demonstration calling for an end of nuclear bombs and appealing for general disarmament was held in Austria yesterday (Sunday).
About 1,200 marchers met at Korneuberg and then marched to the Austrian capital. Many of the demonstrators carried banners pointing out the danger of nuclear weapons and calling for an immediate end of all nuclear tests.
Halfway along the route to Vienna the demonstrators held a rally at Klosterneuberg, Among the speakers was the town's mayor.
Leaving Kosterneuberg at lunch time the demonstrators reached Vienna in the early evening by which time their number had been swelled by people who joined the march along the route.
