    CADETS FROM EIGHT OVERSEAS COUNTRIES WERE AMONG 107 CADETS WHO WERE COMMISSIONED AT A SPECIAL PARADE AT MONS OFFICER CADET SCHOOL, ALDERSHOT TODAY (FRIDAY). MAJOR GENERAL G.H. BLACKER, GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 3RD DIVISION WAS INSPECTING OFFICER.

    TWENTY-FIVE OF THE CADETS WILL GO TO OVERSEAS FORCES AS FOLLOWS: KENYA ARMY, EIGHT; MALAWI ARMY, FOUR; TANZANIA PEOPLE'S DEFENCE FORCE, THREE; ROYAL SIERRE LEONE MILITARY FORCES, THREE; ZAMBIA DEFENCE FORCE, THREE; ROYAL BRUNEI MALAY REGIMENT, TWO; KUWAIT ARMY, ONE, AND FEDERAL REGULAR ARMY SOUTH ARABIA, ONE.

    THE SCHOOL COMMANDANT, BRIGADIER J.B.A. GLENNIE, ACCOMPANIED MAJOR-GENERAL BLACKER ON HIS INSPECTION TO THE MUSIC OF THE ROYAL ARTILLERY MOUNTED BAND. FRIENDS AND RELATIVES WATCHING BY THE PARADE GROUND WERE WELL WRAPPED UP IN THE NEAR-FREEZING WEATHER.\
    MAJOR-GENERAL BLACKER PRESENTED THE SILVER MOUNTED OFFICER'S CANE TO THE SENIOR UNDER OFFICER E.D. HOTHAM, WHO WILL GO THE 15/19TH THE KING'S ROYAL HUSSARS.

    UNDER OFFICER FOR THE NO. 1 PLATOON AT THE PARADE WAS H.C. LUPOGO, OF THE TANZANIA PEOPLE'S DEFENCE FORCES.
