    ABOUT FOUR THOUSAND PEOPLE MARCHED TO THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY IN PARIS TONIGHT (THURSDAY) PROTESTING AGAINST THE UNITED STATES INVOLVEMENT IN VIETNAM. THE DEMONSTRATION WAS ORGANISED BY THE FRENCH COMMUNIST PARTY.

    THE DEMONSTRATORS SHOUTED SLOGANS AND CARRIED LARGE BANNERS BEARING INSCRIPTIONS SUCH AS "JOHNSON -- ASSASSIN" AND " PEACE IN VIETNAM."
    POLICE SAID THAT THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS AND NO ARRESTS. MOST OF THE DEMONSTRATORS WERE STUDENTS AND YOUNG WORKERS.

    A DEPUTATION PRESENTED PETITIONS AT THE EMBASSY CALLING FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE GENEVA AGREEMENTS.
