    ON THE FIFTH DAY OF HIS WEEK-LONG STATE VISIT TO WEST GERMANY. THE PRESIDENT OF CONGO-KINSHASA, GENERAL JOSEPH MOBUTU, TODAY (FRIDAY) ARRIVED IN STUTTGART WHERE HE VISITED A MERCEDES-BENZ FACTORY WHERE HE WAS SHOWN AROUND BY DR. JOACHIM ZAHN, THE PRESIDENT OF THE DAIMLER-BENZ COMPANY.

    ACCOMPANIED BY MRS. MOBUTU, THE PRESIDENT SAW THE MANUFACTURE OF EVERY TYPE OF MERCEDES VEHICLE - FROM THE 200-D SALOON TO THE 32 - TON 2620 TRUCK. THE VISIT, WHICH CULMINATED WITH PRESIDENT MOBUTU ANNOUNCING THAT HE WOULD DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF MERCEDES SERVICE STATIONS IN CONGO-KINSHASA FROM 10 TO 20, IS A FOLLOW-UP TO OTHER COMMERCIAL VISITS AND MEETINGS THAT GENERAL MOBUTU AND HIS FOREIGN MINISTER, JUSTIN BOMBOKO, HAVE BEEN HOLDING IN VARIOUS GERMAN CITIES. ON MONDAY (MARCH 18) THE PRESIDENT SAID IN A PRESS CONFERENCE THAT HE WAS CALLING FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS TO HIS COUNTRY AND PLEDGED THEM FULL PROTECTION? ON THE SAME DAY, MR. BOMBOKO AND HERR WILLY BRANDT SIGNED A GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TECHNICAL AID AND A PROVISION OF A LONG-TERM BON CAPITAL LOAN OF 14 MILLION MARKS (1,400,00 POUNDS STERLING) MAINLY FOR THE PURCHASE OF LOCOMOTIVES, TUGBOATS AND COMMODITY GOODS.

    AT THE END OF PRESIDENT MOBUTU'S VISIT TO THE MERCEDES PLANT HE WAS TAKEN FOR A DRIVE IN ONE OF THE FIRM'S TREASURED "COLLECTOR'S ITEMS": AN 1893 MERCEDES "VICTORIA".

    PRESIDENT MOBUTU, WHO HAS ALREADY VISITED BONN. WEST BERLIN, COLOGNE AND HAMBURG, FLEW FROM STUTTGART TO MUNICH FROM WHERE HE WILL GO TO SPEND A THREE-DAY PRIVATE HOLIDAY IN THE BAVARIAN ALPS.
