    THE TWELVE-NATION SUMMIT CONFERENCE OF EAST AND CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES IN KAMPALA, ENDED YESTERDAY (SATURDAY). THE DELEGATES, ALL LEADERS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES, CLOSED THE THREE DAY CONFERENCE WITH APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REGIONAL CO-OPERATION DRAWN UP BY THEIR FOREIGN MINISTERS IN LUSAKA LAST JULY.

    AT THE LAST SESSION, PRESIDENT OBOTE OF UGANDA, THE CHAIRMAN, CLOSED THE MEETING.

    THE FATE OF THE 130 WHITE MERCENARIES AT PRESENT BEING HELD IN RWANDA AFTER THEIR FLIGHT FROM CONGO-KINSHASA IN NOVEMBER, REMAINED UNRESOLVED.

    THE COUNTRIES ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE WERE UGANDA, TANZANIA AND KENYA, BURUNDI, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE, CONGO-KINSHASA, ETHIOPIA, RWANDA, SOMALIA, SUDAN AND ZAMBIA.
