    Background: Between mines and steel works in the Ruhr-area at Bochum is situated the most important Shakespeare theatre of western-Germany. Here is the seat of the German Shakespeare-Society too. Their leader is the famous author and Shakespeare-trans-leter Dr. Rudol Alexander Schroder, the prominent honourary-member is the Catholic Cardinal Dr. Frings from Cologne. Every year here are staged two or three plays of William Shakespeare beside the modern authors. The best rehearse in this year is "Much ado about nothing" produced by Hans Schalla the Boss of the Theatre. Therefore the stage was invited to play during the World Festival at Bruxelles during the world Exposition "EXPO 58" the 3, and 4. June in the Theatre Royal Flammande.
