KING HUSSEIN ARRIVED IN CAIRO AND WAS MET BY UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC PRESIDENT NASSER. ALSO IN CAIRO WAS ALGERIAN LEADER HOUARI BOUMEDIENNE, WHO ARRIVED ON SUNDAY
    KING HUSSEIN FLEW INTO CAIRO IN MILITARY UNIFORM TO BE GREETED WARMLY BY PRESIDENT NASSER. HIS DECISION TO FLY TO CAIRO WAS APPARENTLY TAKEN AT SHORT NOTICE.

    ALREADY IN CAIRO, ALGERIAN LEADER BOUMEDIENNE HAD BEEN HAVING TALKS WITH PRESIDENT NASSER BEFORE FLYING ON TO SEE SYRIAN LEADERS IN DAMASCUS. M. BOUMEDIENNE POSTPONED HIS FLIGHT IN ORDER TO CONFER WITH THE KING AND THE PRESIDENT.

    ALGERIA IS BELIEVED TO BE PRESSING FOR A CONTINUATION OF THE WAR AGAINST ISRAEL. ALGERIA HAS NEVER RECOGNIZED THE TRUCE WHICH ENDED THE FIGHTING. HOWEVER, KING HUSSEIN IS IN FAVOUR OF A FULL ARAB SUMMIT MEETING BETWEEN LEADERS OF ALL THE ARAB NATIONS INVOLVED IN ORDER TO WORK OUT A COMMON POLICY AND EVENTUALLY A NEGOTIATED PEACE WITH THE ISRAELIS.

    DURING A DINNER LAST NIGHT FOR THE THREE LEADERS, KING HUSSEIN REPORTED TO PRESIDENT NASSER AND M. BOUMEDIENNE ON HIS RECENT VISIT TO THE UNITED STATES AND BRITAIN.
