Secretary of State William Rogers for the United States, Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko for the USSR, Foreign Minister Maurice Schumann for France, and Foreign Secretary Sir Alec Douglas-Home for Great Britain - were the signatories for the pact - which ensures unimpeded access along read and rail corridors from West Germany to West Berlin (since the end of World War II isolated 110 miles (185 kilometres inside East German territory); and lifts curbs on West Berliners travelling to East Germany and East Berlin.
