    THE EXILE GOVERNMENT IS HOLDING THE SOLDIER AT ITS HEADQUARTERS IN KINSHASA, CAPITAL OF CONGO-KINSHASA, AND YESTERDAY (MONDAY) HE WAS SHOWN TO NEWSMEN.

    FIFTY ANGOLAN NATIONALIST AMBUSHED ABOUT 45 PORTUGUESE SOLDIERS TRAVELLING IN THREE MILITARY LORRIES NEAR NOKI, NEAR THE CONGOLESE BORDER, ACCORDING TO MR. HOLDEN ROBERTO, LEADER OF THE EXILE GOVERNMENT
    MR ROBERTO TOLD THE NEWS CONFERENCE THAT 25 SOLDIERS WERE KILLED. THE LORRIES WHERE DESTROYED AND THE SURVIVORS FLED.

    HE SAID THE SOLDIERS, VICTOR EMMANUEL DE OLIVEIRA SEVERNO, WHO WAS SLIGHTLY WOUNDED IN THE ARM AND THE HEAD, HAD BEEN SEEN BY A DOCTOR AND WOULD BE PERMITTED TO WRITE TO HIS FAMILY.

    MR. ROBERTO SAID FIVE ANGOLANS WERE ALSO INJURED AND WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL IN KINSHASA.

    (PORTUGAL TONIGHT (TUESDAY) ALLEGED THAT ON DECEMBER 9 TERRORISTS HAD FIRED ON A PORTUGUESE COLUMN WITH EVERY MACHINE GUNS AND MORTARS AS THE SOLDIERS WERE MOVING IN THE AREA OF NOKI. PORTUGAL SAID BOTH ITS SOLDIER AND THE TERRORIST SUFFERED SOME CASUALTIES. THE TERRORISTS RETREATED BACK TO CONGO-KINSHASA, PORTUGAL SAID).
