IN THIS SITUATION KHMER SOLDIERS HAVE BEEN USING SAMPANS TO PATROL THE RIVER UNDER THE BRIDGE TO CHECK FOR NINES AND OTHER EXPLOSIVE CHARGES. MEANWHILE THEY, AND KHMER FAMILIES IN THE VICINITY HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO CONTINUAL MORTAR BOMBARDMENT AND OTHER FIRE.
