    SYNOPSIS: Madame Pompidou, wife of the French President, arrived at the British Embassy in Paris on Friday at a time when Anglo-French relations had reached an historic turning point, Both Mr. Heath and M. Pompidou expressed their confidence in the success of future negotiations on Britain's entry into the European Economic Community.

    After two days of intensive discussion, the two leaders have finally agreed that Britain's entry should go ahead. The problems still remaining from Britain's entry bid, include economic and financial questions. Observers believe that the future of the sterling and the problem of New Zealand's exports to Britain are still main obstacles.
