    THEY ARE AMONG 1,027 INDONESIANS CAPTURED THROUGHOUT MALAYSIA SINCE INDONESIA LAUNCHED CONFRONTATION AGAINST THE FEDERATION IN 1936.

    AMONG THOSE IMPRISONED IS LIEUTENANT SOETIKNO. LAST YEAR HE AND 90 INDONESIANS INFILTRATED INTO PONTIAN, A FISHING VILLAGE ON THE WEST COST OF JOHORE.

    SOME OF HIS MEN WERE KILLED LATER BY MALAYSIAN SECURITY FORCES IN MOPPING-UP OPERATIONS.

    LT SOETIKNO SAID THAT HIS COLLEAGUES WERE HOPING INDONESIA WOULD RATIFY THE AGREEMENT TO END CONFRONTATION QUICKLY SO THAT THEY CAN GO HOME.

    ALL INDONESIA PRISONERS HELD BY MALAYSIA WILL BE REPATRIATED AS SOON AS INDONESIA RATIFIES THE AGREEMENT WHICH WAS REACHED AT BANGKOK RECENTLY BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES.
