    This is the background to the Bobby Baker story.

    The film opens with shots of the machines of the Serves company.It is alleged Baker used his influence as secretary to the Senate Democratic Majority to get these machines of his placed in plants of contractors doing business with the government.

    Next is shown the relatively modest house on tree-shaded Northampton Street in Washington where Baker lived until recently.Next is shown his new home on Van Ness Street worth more than $100,000, although Baker's salary in his senate post was $19,600.

    Next ??? new town house in a redeveloped section of Washington which is worth $29,000 (modernistic structure).It was occupied by his 27-year-old secretary, since left town.

    Next, Baker kept his name on the door of a law firm in Washington, although he was not active in the practice of law himself.

    He and some others also set up a travel agency near the Capitol, called Co Travel Agency.

    Finally in negative film is hotel where Baker and some others set up and exclusive club called the Quorum Club, frequented by members of Congress.Film shows door to the club marked with "Q", no interior.

    The positive film shows a Howard Johnson motel and restaurant in North Carolina, in Charlotte in which Baker had an interest.

    Not shown is another luxury motel called the Carousel on the seashore about three hours from Washington in which Baker also once owned.
