CU Balaban speaks:-(Nat. sd.) CU Martin & Lewis listening. SV Balaban continues, & Lewis interrupts him, then they shake hands. (Nat. sd.) CU Martin & Lewis start to read letter. SV & CU Ditto:-(Nat. sd.)
CU Barney Balaban speaking:- "Dean & Jerry. We would have been - who have recently become quieter, you know that pretty well." (laughter)
SV...."(Lewis calls out 'Did you bring the money!" Balaban continues:- "I know that this association will be long and healthy one, but even if we weren't connected business wise, my respects for you as two great citizens & wonderful artists would be boundless. God Bless you both."
SV Martin & Lewis reading letter:- "It is hard to believe that here we are more thrilled than - there isn't really too much we can say, we (Jerry keeps interrupting with 'we') I am sorry, sorry, Jerry. There isn't too much we can say, that we can say, except that we are eternally grateful. Jerry says:-"We will always remember this tribute & we will write pieces together from now on & we thank you from the bottom of our hearts."!!
