  • Description

Zambia's Foreign Minister, Mr. Elijah H K Mudanda, on Thursday (27 September 1973) expressed regret that certain countries were breaking United Nations sanctions against Rhodesia. Speaking at the General Assembly in New York, he said the Salisbury Administration was weak internally and was being sustained by the sanction-breakers.

His own country, Mr. Mudenda added, had completely cut off dealings with Rhodesia and was engaged in rerouting its own trade, at a very high cost. He accused South African forces of joining those of Rhodesia and Portugal in intensifying acts of aggression against neighboring African States.
