    New York's Yankee Stadium in the Bronx was packed to full capacity Oct 8 as the second phase of the baseball World Series moved to the home ground of the New York Yankees.

    With the series standing 1 to 1, the Yankees were determined to maintain their record of never having been beaten on their home ground. This they again achieved in 2 hours and 50 minutes flat as they beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 10 - nil.

    To the Pittsburgh Pirates the size of the Yankee Stadium, completely surrounded by filled stands, must have been an awesome experience.

    The baseball World Series began Oct 5 in Pittsburgh. The whole of America is watching telecasts of this - the biggest, most important American sporting event of the year.
