    Alexander refers to the great work done by Rear Admiral Gohrmley of U.S. navy & of Sir Charles Forbes, how he deprecates the general assumption that when an officer is relieved of his command some shadow of doubt is thereby implied. Alexander continues by saying that the thinks that we are defending the Western Hemisphere as well as our own life-line & that he has hopes of seeing more aid coming from that direction.
