The battle for Cambodia's Highway Four, closed for several days, continues. Following a minor victory for National troops on Monday (29 March) when they over-ran a North Vietnam bunker complex, they suffered heavy losses and were driven back over two miles (four kilometres) on Tuesday.
During Monday's battle VISNEWS cameraman Yosep Lee was shot and injured while filming this action. He was taken to Phnom Penh hospital with injuries to his left hand where a bullet had passes through, smashing three knuckles and hitting his camera. His condition is not serious. It was the second brush with the Communists for Yosep, a 38-year-old Korean, who was captured and held by the Viet Cong for 17 days last year while shooting film for VISNEWS.
