    Background: Talks were held in the Kremlin, Moscow, between Leonid Ilyich Prezhnev, General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee, Alexei Nikolaevich Kosygin, Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, and Aziz Sidki, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who was in the Soviet Union on a friendly visit.

    Exchange of opinions on a wide circle of questions of bilateral relations between the Soviet Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt took place. Special attention was paid to the questions of struggle fore liquidation of the aftermath of Israeli aggression. The talks were held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding corresponding to the spirit of the Soviet-Egyptian Treaty about Friendship and cooperation.
