Mister Eisenhower's second in command is busy these days. Vice President Nixon has begun his goodwill tour of South America with a visit to Montevideo, capital of Uruguay. Thousands lined the highway from the airport to the capital to welcome the representative of Uruguay's northern neighbour. The three-week trip will take the vice president through eight South American nations. Mrs. Nixon is accompanying the vice president, and they're trying to meet as many as possible of the plain people in the countries they visit. After Uruguay, the Nixon's flew on to buenos Aires for the inauguration, later today, of Arturo Frendisi, as the nation's new president. When he arrived in Argentina, Nixon congratulated the people for their first free election in more than a decade.
