    AN AGREEMENT HAS BEEN SIGNED IN KUWAIT FOR ESTABLISHING THE FIRST ARAB-TURKISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. SPOKESMEN FOR BOTH COUNTRIES SAID IT WOULD PAVE THE WAY FOR STRENGTHENING ECONOMICAL AND COMMERCIAL CO-OPERATION.

    MR. MOHAMMAD BUDAIR, HEAD OF THE ARAB CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND AGRICULTURE, SIGNED THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF HIS GROUP TOGETHER WITH MR. ABDUL AZIZ HAMAD AL-SAKR, HEAD OF THE KUWAIT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, THE TURKISH SIDE WAS REPRESENTED BY MR. NAMIQ KAMAL, SECRETARY OF THE TURKISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY.

    MR. AL-SAKR SAID THAT THE AGREEMENT WAS THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS MORE CO-OPERATION BETWEEN ARABS AND TURKS. IT REFLECTED THE DEEP HISTORICAL ROOTS AND RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO PEOPLES.

    MR. KAMAL SAID IT WOULD LEAD TO BETTER RELATIONS IN THE COMMERCIAL, CULTURAL AND SOCIAL FIELDS.
