    A SOVIET DELEGATION, LED BY MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE, MR. N.S. PATHOLICHEV, MET A MALAYSIAN TEAM AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE IN KUALA LUMPUR ON TUESDAY (25 FEBRUARY) FOR TRADE TALKS ON THE POSSIBILITY OF SETTING UP A CORPORATION WHICH WOULD IMPORT AND DISTRIBUTE SOVIET PRODUCTS.

    MR. PATHOLICHEV SAID THE OBJECT OF HIS MISSION WAS TO PROMOTE A GREATER FLOW OF TRADE BETWEEN MALAYSIA AND THE U.S.S.R. WITH HIM WERE THE SOVIET AMBASSADOR TO MALAYSIA, MR. V.N. KUZNETSOV, AND MR. YURI VISLOUSOV, HEAD OF THE INTERPRETERS' OFFICE.

    MINISTER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, TAN SRI (DR.) LIM SWEE AUN, WHO LED THE MALAYSIAN TEAM, ASSURED THE SOVIET DELEGATION THAT MALAYSIAN TRADERS WOULD BUY FROM ANY COUNTRY, IRRESPECTIVE OF IDEOLOGY, IF THE QUALITY AND PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS WERE REASONABLE.

    THE SOVIET MISSION LATER CALLED ON THE MALAYSIAN PRIME MINISTER TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN AT HIS NEW OFFICE, BUILT RECENTLY AT A COST OF 880,000 DOLLARS (ABOUT GBP368,000 STERLING). THEY WILL HOLD A TRADE FAIR IN KUALA LUMPUR IN SEPTEMBER TO GIVE MALAYSIAN TRADERS AN IDEA OF WHAT TO BUY FROM THE U.S.S.R.
