    Denmark suffered a setback in their hopes for the European Cup finals when were beaten 1-0 in a friendly international in Prague on May 16. Although the Czechs have already been eliminated from the European Cup, they pressed the Danes throughout the game, and in the 53rd minute it was Ivo Knoflicek who scored, giving Czechoslovakia their eight win in the 11 games the two sides have played. Denmark scored a surprise victory over England at Wembley which qualified them for the finals of the European Cup. But since then they have had two disappointments in friendliest. They were thrashed 6-0 by the Netherlands and lost 2-1 to Spain.
