Shows some scenes of the new Madison Square Garden, under construction, and then workmen putting the first exterior sheathing into place. Madison Square Garden (not Gardens) is the celebrated New York arena (all enclosed) where heavy weight fights, the circus, dog shows, political rallies, and similar attractions are presented. It is to be torn down. A new one is being built above Pennsylvania Station. Penn Station has been torn down, (leaving the trains still running below) and the steel-work for the new Garden is going up in its place. The new structure will feature a huge, circular arena with a roof that may be opened or closed (the big round thing you can see in the background of some of the shots) plus an office building plus --on the lower lever -- a railroad station. The station is the busiest in the city.
