    MOTHERS WITH PRAMS AND BANNERS DEMONSTRATED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY IN GROSVENOR SQUARE TODAY (TUESDAY). A DELEGATION HANDED IN A PROTEST AGAINST THE SENTENCE PASSED ON CHILD-CARE SPECIALIST DR. SPOCK FOR HIS ANTI-VIETNAM WAR ACTIVITIES.

    OVER THREE HUNDRED DEMONSTRATORS MARCHED ROUND THE SQUARE. THEY WERE LED BY MISS VANESSA REDGRAVE AND THE MARCH WAS ORGANISED BY THE EALING MEDICAL AID FOR VIETNAM ASSOCIATION.

    THE PROTEST WAS IN SUPPORT OF AMERICAN DR. BENJAMIN SPOCK, ONE OF THE WORLD'S LEADING PEDIATRICIANS, WHO WAS SENTENCED IN MAY THIS YEAR IN BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS TO TWO YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR ORGANISING RESISTANCE TO INDUCTION FOR THE VIETNAM WAR.

    MISS REDGRAVE AND FIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS DELIVERED A LETTER OF PROTEST TO THE UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR, MR. DAVID BRUCE.
