    PRESIDENT JEAN BEDEL BOKASSA OF THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC PAID A VISIT TO A MODEL FARM NEAR KINSHASA RECENTLY, ACCOMPANIED BY PRESIDENT JOSEPH MOBUTU. THE VISITING PRESIDENT WAS AT THE END OF A FOUR-DAY VISIT, DURING WHICH HE DISCUSSED THE ESTABLISHING OF THE NEWLY-FORMED UNION OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES.

    PRESIDENT BOKASSA HAD SAID HE WAS 'MORE THAN SATISFIED' WITH THE TALKS HE HAD WITH PRESIDENT MOBUTU ABOUT THE UNION. THE UNION OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES (UEAC) WILL COMPRISE CHAD, THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC AND THE CONGO-KINSHASA. THE GROUP WAS DECIDED ON AT A SUMMIT MEETING IN BANGUI EARLY IN FEBRUARY. THE VISITING HEAD OF STATE SAID THAT THE UEAC WAS AIMED AT BRINGING PEACE, SECURITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO ITS MEMBERS.
