    TWO BRITISH JOURNALISTS COVERING THE ROYAL TOUR - MR STAFFORD OF THE "DAILY EXPRESS" AND MR BLYTHE OF THE "DAILY MAIL" - WERE DETAINED FOR A SHORT WHILE IN GHANA RECENTLY. THE GHANAIAN MINISTER OF INFORMATION SAID THEY WERE ASKED TO STAY AND HELP POLICE ENQUIRIES INTO THE SERIES OF BOMB EXPLOSIONS.

    HOWEVER, A GHANAIAN IMMIGRATION OFFICER IS REPORTED AS SAYING THAT HE WAS ORDERED TO DETAIN THE TWO MEN ON INSTRUCTIONS BY THE GHANA SPECIAL BRANCH FOR QUESTIONING CONCERNING POSSIBLE LEGAL ACTION FOR ARTICLES PUBLISHED IN BRITAIN. BOTH MEN WERE ALLOWED TO LEAVE GHANA NOV 20. THAT SAME EVENING, MR BLYTHE WAS ASKED WHAT WAS BEHIND THE ATTEMPT TO KEEP HIM IN GHANA.
