  • Description

A cavalcade of some of the finest examples of antiquated commercial vehicles arrived at Brighton on the south east coast of England from London on Sunday (4 May) for this year's old vehicle parade.

The show, the Historic Commercial Vehicle Club Run, was the 24th held by the club.

The vehicles were discovered as written-off, rotting wrecks long since abandoned by their former owners. But their new owners spent hours painstakingly restoring the derelicts to their former glory.

Among those in the parade was a tour bus built in 1923 which was found in a farm in Wales used as a chicken coup. Another was an Austin Seven van left unused for more than 15 years. Its present owner spent three years working on it in his spare time and now drives it occasionally.
