    The Conference of the Administrative Council of the African Tourism Development Organisation (ODTA) ended in Bamako on Thursday (10 December).

    An outline of regional responsibilities was accepted by the Council, which had earlier officially adopted the Organisation's Statute. A budget of 50 million African francs was approved for 1971, and M. Gueye Youssouf of Sebegal appointed Director-General.

    The final resolution of the Conference approved three new appointments. Mali's Minister of Tourism M. Bebele was designated Chairman of the Senegal River States Sub-region. His Gabonese counter-part M. Ondo becomes Vice-Chairman or the Central African Sub-region, and Dahomey's Minister of Tourism, M. Paolett, was appointed Second Vice-Chairman for the Sub-region which covers the States of the Council of Understanding... Dahomey, Niger, Ivory Coast, Togo and Upper Volta.

    Before the Administrative Council ended its three-day conference it expressed satisfaction at the Democratic Republic of Congo's proposal of host future meetings at Kinshasa.
