    THE BORDER IS A NATURAL RIVER WHERE SOME 10 NAVY BOATS PATROL DAILY.

    ACCESS ACROSS THE BORDER IS EASY. SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS CROSS FREQUENTLY FROM BOTH SIDES TO BUY GOODS.

    DUE TO THE INCREASED REPORTS OF VIETCONG INFILTRATING FROM THE CAMBODIAN TERRITORY THE SOUTH VIETNAMESE GOVERNMENT ARE STEPPING UP THEIR BORDER SECURITY.

    A NEW OUTPOST IS BEING CONSTRUCTED ON THE BORDER TO KEEP A STRICTER CHECK ON THOSE COMING AND GOING.

    THE UNITED STATES CLAIM THAT HUNDREDS OF THEIR TROOPS HAVE BEEN KILLED BY VIETCONG INFILTRATING FROM NEUTRAL CAMBODIA.
