    Hungary is playing host to the Conference of Foreign Ministers of the Warsaw Pact member states, which began in Budapest on Sunday (21st June) to discuss European security.

    The conference delegates, representing the seven countries involved in the Treaty, assembled during Sunday afternoon in the Delegation Room of Parliament House to prepare an agenda for the talks.

    Representatives at the meeting were Andrei Gromyko the Soviet Foreign Minister, Stephen Jendrychowski of Poland, Rumanian leader Corneliu Manescu, and Bulgaria's Ivan Besev.

    Czechoslovakia was represented by Jan Marko, East Germany by Otto Winzer and Hungary by Janos Peter.

    European Security, the main subject of the Conference, is thought likely to involve several days discussion, when the talks proper begin.
