Background: A Chinese landscape painting in black and white, the work of Mrs. Chiang Kai Shek, was presented to the National Museum of Art in Rio. It was handed over by Ambassador Ti Tsum Lee and was unveiled by the Brazilian Minister of Education, Sen. Clovis Saldago.
The painting, an example of pure Chinese art, was accompanied by a message in its right-hand corner from Mrs. Chiang to the Brazilian people.
The Chinese population in the country is small but its contribution to the growth of the country has been significant. The Brazilians pay tribute to Chinese quietness of nature and willingness to work.
