    INTRODUCTION: Karl meiler, undefeated on his service, took West Germany to victory in the final game of the doubles match in their Kings Cup clash with Great Britain on Friday (21 January). The West Germans faced the LLoyd brothers of Britain with the score at one game all in the contest -- John Lloyd having lost to Ulli Pinner, while Mark Cox has beaten Meiler. But he was in outstanding form in the doubles. The West Germans played cooly to take a 5-3 lead in the final set. The Lloyds managed to pull back to 5-4, but then Meiler stepped up to launch his service supported by Hans Pohmann. BBC's Dan Maskell reports:
