The president Tito's speech at the pre-election meeting in Belgrade last Sunday on March the 16th. About 300,000 people were at this place to hear tito's speech.
the speaker said: President of the Republic and candidate for deputy of the Federal Council of the People's Assembly, Josip Broz Tito, spoke at a pre-election meeting in Belgrade. He had spoken in front of our international politics, President Tito among other things, said: "Comrades! I have already emphasized that it is necessary to take care of men. It is hard for one of to be abandoned when he is alone and when he comes into difficult situation. In our society no one should be abandoned. Our society must take care of lives and worries of each individual. Communalism and Unions of Communes are just where we had wanted to achieve that the rule is closer to people and that it takes care of them. In some places nice results have been achieved with regard to this matter. But, in some other places there still are no results for one did not go the right way. I would also have many things to say on account of our Communes which have not been informed yet, and which have not quite discovered the direction of their development. I wish our Unions of Communes to be those basic cells that will take manysided care of life and standard of people as well as of the further development of Unions of Communes and of every single Commune".
Speaker: Considering present international situation, President Tito underlined - "If the humanity would soon meet with an agreement of the great powers on the outlawing of atomic energy as a means of war, and on its use in peaceful purposes only - this would be the biggest festivity in streets of the whole world, and it would be greeted by the whole Universe".
