    The National Liberation Front delegate at the Paris Peace talks reacted unfavourably today (Thursday) to President Nixon's new Vietnam peace proposals. Speaking before to pressmen before the day's talks, the NLF representative, Mme Nguyen Thi Binh, said the President's speech was attempting to legitimise United States aggression in Indo-China.

    Saigon's representative at the talks, Mr Pham Dang Lam, said his Government would wait for the other side's considered reaction to the plan.

    The North Vietnamese Representative, Mr Xuan Thuy, was also present at Thursday's talks. In her statement, Mme Binh said:
    Speaking after the day's session, Mr Lam said:
    The new plan proposed by President Nixon on Wednesday includes a call for an Indo-China peace conference and a ceasefire in Vietnam.
