    The British painter, Richard Carline, tours the Great Wall in the company of Hwa Chun-wu, a well known Chinese painter.

    Carline makes sketches in the suburbs of Peking.

    Chu Tu-nan, President of the Chinese People's Association for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, receives Carline.

    A reproduction of the "Hapstead Heath" by the British painter John Constable in 1830 is presented to Chu Tu-nan by Carline.

    Carline gives a lecture on the history of British water colour painting to the 5th year students of the Peking Art Institute.
