The exhibition -- held at Amman's Inter-continental Hotel -- was sponsored by the German Cultural Institute, and featured the work of Nabeel Salem, aged 23, Omar Hamdan, aged 18, and Yussef Husseini, aged 17.

The three artists were trained by established Jordanian artists at the Jordanian Fine Arts Institute in Amman.

The exhibition -- patronised by Crown Prince Hassan, King Hussein's brother -- also included a private collection of oriental silver, collected during the past ten years by the Director of the German Cultural Institute, Dr. W. Ule.

The Jordanian Minister for Information and Culture, Mr. Adaan Abu Odeh officially opened the exhibition.
