Background: West German Chancellor Dr. Konrad Adenauer flew into Orley Airport, Paris, July 29, with his Foreign Minister, Herr von Brentano, for talks with France's President de Gaulle and the French Foreign Minister M. Couve de Murville. From the airport the two Germans drove straight to Rambouillet where the two leaders will "exchange views" on the Common Market question.
Both sides have already stated that the meeting will be conducted in secret and no "decision" will be taken on any of the problems concerning the Common Market.
It is thought that the main topic of the talks will be the plan to harmonize the policies of the six European Powers in the Common Market group. Soon after the two leaders met, their Foreign Ministers drove back to Paris to continue discussions on their own.
