    THE MEMBERS OF THE TEAM LED BY CAPT. KEEN ARE MAJOR JOHN D. BARRET OF EALING, LONDON, WHO IS A DOCTOR; CORPORAL DREK HARROLD OF STOKE, COVENTRY WHO IS IN CATERING SERVICE; RIFLEMAN CHATURMAN RAI WHO WILL BE THE GUIDE AND INTERPRETER; SECOND LIEUT I.M. TOMES WHOSE FATHER AIR COMMODORE J.N. TOMES IS ATTACHED TO BRITISH EMBASSY IN BONN; LANCE-CORPORAL RAY NEALE OF ERDINGTON, BIRMINGHAM; AND PRIVATE JOHN DOCKER OF BURTON-ON-TRENT.

    THE TEAM, ALL FROM WARWICKSHIRE REGIMENT, IS USING A ROCKY PEAK NEAR SEK KONG VILLAGE, IN THE NEW TERRITORIES ON MAINLAND CHINA, AS THEIR TRAINING GROUND.

    THE MEN WHO WILL HAVE TO CLIMB 20,000 FEET WILL ARRIVE IN CALCUTTA ON OCTOBER 26.

    THEY HOPE TO RECEIVE THE APPROVAL OF THE NEPALESE GOVERNMENT IN TIME TO SET OUT FOR DHARAN, IN NEPAL, TO BEGIN THEIR ADVENTURE.

    THEY ALSO PLAN TO TREK TO THYANGBOCHE MONASTERY AT THE BASE OF MOUNT EVEREST AND THEN TO KATMANDU, THE CAPITAL OF NEPAL.

    THE WHOLE EXPEDITION, THEY ESTIMATE, WILL TAKE ABOUT TWO MONTHS.
